Yes, that’s right. The energy associated with wanting and wishing is lack. To want something is to declare that something is missing. To “want” or “wish” is to declare the absence of something now. The Universe responds creatively to the combination of our thoughts, beliefs and feelings. When you are in a state of “want” – how do you feel? I can bet you feel a strong sense of desperation, confusion and perhaps a helpless sense of struggle. Often, a strong sense of disbelief accompanies the act of wanting or wishing. I encourage you to think about this deeply and you will discover that when you are in a state of wanting (or wishing) you are actually holding the lack of the very thing (or experience) you profess to want in place. The Universe does not grant us what we want or wish for – it grants us what we BELIEVE we can have. In the case of wanting and wishing, we are believing in lack, absence and struggle.
In contrast to the above scenario, the energy involved with making a solid decision is affirmative and will be creative as such. The thought process associated with decision is a stable belief that something is not only possible – it is already done. You have no doubt that what you decided upon will come to pass in your experience. Your energy is focused on the “knowingness” of completion. A firm decision is often accompanied by a strong feeling of excited anticipation – with no doubt. It’s almost as if you can say to others, “You don’t know it yet, but I am (or have, etc.) ______________.” You fill in the blank with your decision. It is the same exact Universal law in action as in the “want” scenario. However, it is operating upon different thoughts, beliefs and feelings therefore, a different outcome will be produced. To decide upon something is to declare it a reality NOW – even though it may or may not be visible now. As Jesus said, “It is done unto you as you believe.”
Infinite potential is an attribute of this Universe and is inherent in its laws. What will you decide to become, have or experience?
“Once you make a decision, the Universe conspires to make it happen.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
